A return to where it all began

This year, Rumi turns 20.

To celebrate, we’re returning to our very first home on Lygon Street, the place where we opened our doors, built a restaurant with the help of my family, and began sharing our story of the borderless Middle East with Melbourne.

Now home to our dear friends at Bar Idda, this special corner of the Inner North continues to represent everything we believe in: generous food, culture, community and gathering around the table.

Join us for two special evenings as we revisit the dishes, stories and memories that have shaped Rumi over the past two decades.
